Austin, if I would have known you were looking for a Big River I could have put you on to a 60lb. A friend of mine had one for sale this past summer. It was in nice shape and at a great price.  He might even still have it. God bless, Scott.

Scott my elbows started to give me some trouble this summer, probably more from hitting too many golf balls over the years than archery, but anyway I've dropped bow weight.  Had the chance this week to buy back my all-time favorite Skookum at around 58lbs and I had to pass.60lb would be too much also, but I have no doubt it would be a great bow. You have a knack for coming up with great longbows.

Congrats on the Deer.
I don`t know much about "Big River" 21st century. I have had an original and a Milton bow. both were great bows. Is Milton no longer building them and big River is?RC

RC
I'm not the most knowledgeable on these bows but from what I read on here John McDonald(who makes Big River bows) was friends with the original 21st Century bowyers and ended up with the form.  His 21st Century style longbow isn't exactly the same but very similar.  He also builds many other styles of bows.  Big River bows have quite a following on here and hopefully one of the others with more experience with his bows will chime in and explain it better.

I just bumped this up so Mr. Crowder could see a picture of the Big River 21st Century longbow on page 1 that he was curious about.

It is an old Thread
