EFA Apache Quiver With Totem - It's A Great On The Bow Quiver!!!

I ordered an EFA Apache Jumbo I quiver in Dark Brown with the Totem option.  How far between the straps with the Totem option?  I need it to be at least 19" for my Cheyenne recurve with the B riser.

Bill,
Don may chime in here but I don't think it will be a problem.  The totem connector is a shaft within a shaft and length is adjustable when you roll back the rubber sleeve.  I've got one with the Mesa hood and kick-back bracket for big Simmons 2-blades and it's become my favorite quiver. I liked it better without the totem and took mine off.

Thanks for the feedback.  I have no doubt I'll be leaving the Totem on my Apache.  I prefer shooting my bows without a quiver on them.  I take the quiver off and hang it on a hook on the side of the tree above my stand.

If it's going on your Cheyenne, you should be fine.  When I tried it on my Shawnee, the quiver mounted closer to the riser and the totem hit the base of my thumb when I gripped the bow.  Still liking the Max 1's?  Bob's got the design working for the Shawnee's now and I've broke down and ordered a set.

The Max 1 limbs are the best limbs I've ever had on a bow.  My 45#@28" limbs shoot at least as hard as some of the 50#+ limbs I've owned over the years.  

The only time I'll have to worry about the quiver being too close to my hand is if I get a shot opportunity while walking to my stand.  Otherwise, it'll be off the bow and hanging on a hook.

Bill, sorry that I didn't get back to you on this. Yesterday I was away from the shop most of the day.

As Richard said the Totem is a telescoping shaft within a shaft and held together with surgical tubing. It's adjustable from about 11" to 19" standard.

Your quiver should be there today.

I received my EFA Apache Quiver With Totem in the mail today.  It fits my Morrison Cheyenne great.  

The only question I have is how do I get the section of rubber from the bottom of the lower section of the Totem to the middle to "lock"the two sections together?  If I kept the quiver on my bow while hunting, it wouldn't be a problem.  But I prefer to take the quiver off the bow and hang it up on a hook or cut branch above my left shoulder.

It has the most sturdy mounting system of any traditional bow mount quiver I've owned!

Well, this old retired engineer finally figured it out.  I'm an electrical/electronic engineer in background, but I had to do enough mechanical engineering to be able to take the correct approach.

I unscrewed the two sections of the Totem from the cup and the insert of the Quiver.  I rolled the piece of surgical tubing off the bottom of the lower/smaller diameter section of the Totem.  I then rolled the tubing onto the bottom of the upper/larger diameter section of the Totem.  I then inserted the lower section into the tubing and slowly but surely worked onto the top of the lower section.

Once I got the two sections to the point that I could push the lower section into the upper section, it went together like two pieces of bread for a sandwich!  The EFA Quiver with the Totem makes a great one piece quiver.  I highly recommend it!

I'll be going to the woods tomorrow for the first time with this great little quiver on my bow.  At least it'll be on my bow until I get on stand!      Looking forward to the hunt with this great quiver!!  I fully expect it to match the greatness of my Morrison Cheyenne with Max 1 recurve limbs!!!

The EFA Apache Quiver With Totem is a great quiver!  It has a rock solid mounting system, is close to the bow and is very quiet.

The last couple of times I've gone to The Archery Shop to shoot my Morrison Cheyenne, I've left the quiver mounted on the bow along with 4 arrows + 200 gr Woodsman Elite broadheads.  I was surprised to not see any difference in the shooting qualities of the Cheyenne with the quiver mounted.

I have several EFA quivers on my bows and my granddaughters bow.I have the Mesa with the totem on my A&H and it is rock solid.

I have a small 3 arrow quiver on my Big River long bow and can shoot all day without the arrows coming loose or any effect on my accuracy.

Will be adding one to my RER LX Longbow when it gets here.
