Suggestions for Waterproofing Spray or Treatment..
« on: November 25, 2013, 11:35:00 PM »
Hey all,

I need some tips on what the best product to use to waterproof some of my clothes is.  Been getting a lot of rain lately and realized that I need to treat a few garments and some hunting/outdoor gear and duds.

What have you used that worked really well for you?  Are there any products that are as good as what is available at the Dry Cleaners?

Thanks

Nalajr

Try the NIKWAX product line. I used it in my boots on the tundra and worked great.  http://www.rei.com/search?query=nikwax

I have used Nikwax on a GoreTex duck hunting parka. Worked well.

I don't really know what material it is.  One item is a golfing jacket that was water resistant from the factory and when I had it cleaned it was no longer repellant.  The other stuff is a couple hats and some pants and a shirt for woods use.

Thanks
