another great and informative video.
Thanks for making it.
I love the split screen with the active map as you are pointing things out. That was a really nice touch.
Again, great job!
I look forward to the next one!

Can tell you enough how great your videos are, super informative. Btw, very beautiful country that way, I was in sawtooth national forest this past august. If you don't mind me asking what do you do for a living?

Thanks

Nice Video. What brand and model of conpass are you using? It's hard to find a good compass around here.

Great video. In the process of learning how to use a map and compass. Can't wait to get out and use what I learn.

Thanks! You should be a scoutmaster. I've share your videos with my sons, daughters and wife and you've spared them having to put up with me bumbling through compass nav. teaching

Thanks guys, I think the next vid will be an into to tracking - kindof a "beyond bloodtrails" type thing.  That will be the 6th and final vid for the fall/winter.  We'll pick it up again in the spring.

Edge, I'm a wildlife biologist so I get to spend a lot of time knocking around the backcountry looking at habitat.

The next vid should be up in a few days.  I'd planned on an intro to tracking but, shortly before starting to film, we had our first major cold snap and the ground froze solid.  Tracks aren't registering well enough to show what I wanted to.  I'll post the new topic as soon as it's up. Thanks for following.
