new shooting glove advice

I was shooting yesterday for the first time with a fast flight string and man ntt fingers are sore! My dacron didn't hurt the fingers at all.
so now I need a little help picking out a glove with a thicker leather to beret protect the fingers.

My favorite glove for a slick release and only 'just enough protection is the Damascus Glove.  They sell em at 3Rivers.  It is thin smooth leather and they say don't use it above 55# but Ive been shooting mine for most of the year so far on bows 55+ and it is holding up well.  I use it because I like a lot of feel.  Some thicker gloves Ive tried are so numb I almost feel like I'm using a release.  That's just my preference.

well that's my problem. lol. the current glove is thin and well seasoned. I love it and really don't look forward to shopping for a new one. but as I said, the glove isn't providing enough protection to my fingers (they hurt like heck after some range time). Im looking for a glove that is somewhat thicker and will provide better protection to the fingers than my current glove.
my setup is a 60" 60# impala recurve with a fast flight string

I like Black Widow's Deerskin glove....  I started with a little bit of soreness in my ring finger, but shortly got past it....

I've got the american leathers big shot glove.  It's thick leather with nylon over the fingers.  I shoot a pretty heavy bow and my fingers don't get sore.

I think the American Leathers buffalo big shot glove is the best glove you can get.

Another vote on the American leathers. I have a spare one if you want to try it before you spend the money, they are pretty pricy. Have you tried shooting tabs at all?

I absolutely love the black widow stick tight gloves. The super is what I personally use and I could shoot a 70lb bow with it and be fine (i have)

BW stick tight has been my choice.....without the nylon stalls.....


Shooting 50 - 60lbs...plenty of protection....takes a few sessions to break in...

The American leathers is super well made, though I personally didnt enjoy it unless the bow was 70#+  like I said on lighter bows I just had no feel for me.  I also took a sharp scissors and trimmed the edges of the nylon to the stitching so the fingers could get closer together.  Another favorite of mine is the all nylon Bearpaw Black Glove.

American Leather full shot is what I use and will only use.

Hmmmmm.  Fast flite shouldn't hurt any more than dacron.  The string is probably thinner, but the serving should be the same size to fit the arrow nocks you're using.

Regardless, I also use American Leather gloves.  They provide a lot of protection.  Lots of good gloves out there though.  You may have to try a few different ones to determine which works best for you.

My American Leathers Big Shot does a good job of protecting my fingers. Problem is, I can't shoot worth a dang using any kind of glove or tab. I use RPM slicks and bare fingers.

American Leathers Big Shot Crossover. A little pricey but worth every penny.

Try triple serving your strings around the nocking point. This will protect your fingers well and you probably wont even need a glove or tab. This is what I do and you dont have to worry about carrying a glove or tab when hunting.

orion I thought the same thing but I changed the limbs from 50# to 60# and the fast flight at the same time....so I didn't actually know if it was one or the other r a combo of the two.
