Some multiple Sponsor love at Christmas
« on: December 04, 2013, 08:45:00 AM »
Well tis the season to buy ourselves some Christmas gifts and look forward to next year as our late bow seasons come to a close.  This will be a shout out to some sponsors that I've done business with and products that you might want to add to your wish list:

Allan Shaffer/Lefties R Us-beautiful strings that I put on my refurbished 1957 Kodiak. Allan is very responsive to inquiries and he's spot on with his delivery. I know there are a lot of good string makers on our sponsor list, but Allan's the one I have the most recent experience with.

Ron LaClair's Traditional Archery Shoppe-(notification, Ron's one of my dearest friends)-however, that being said, his Skinner knife is a well made functional tool and a real value.  I've carried this knife for several years now and it's everything I could hope for in a knife.

Elite Arrows/Ron LaClair's Archery Shoppe-Ron sells Paul's arrows, but Paul is also a sponsor here on his own.  He's one of the best kept secret's in arrow making.  His arrows are beautiful, straight and the highest quality I've seen.  The Autumn Legend arrows that he makes for Ron's shop are classic looks on top of great performers.

Bow Hush and Hush Puppies-there have been lot's of praise here on Tradgang for them and well deserved.  If you're wanting a little stocking stuffer for yourself(our your hunting buddies), this is it. Absolutely incredible wool quality and they work better than anything I've tried in 40 plus years of traditional archery.

Matt Gundock/Turkey Flite Traditional-Matt's wild turkey feathers are incredible. I've used them on all my vintage arrows (Microflights that I've refletched) and my wood arrows that I've done lately.  The colors on the dyed barred feathers are superb and quality of the quill and cut is fantastic.

Classic Bowman-Bowhunters Brim hat. I've used this all fall and it's a great piece of clothing. I've been in some very cold sit's and the ability to fold down the flaps around the ears and back of my neck has allowed me to sit out longer on those cold, windy days. I made a five and a half hour sit on our firearm deer opener here in MI in a treestand and bag a buck at 11:45 in the morning as he walked through. It was a cold morning and this hat along with my other wool kept me up in a treestand for a long sit.  Very well made and classic good looks as a bonus.

Big Jim's Rhinehart Blemish targets-I bought one for my backyard and it's taken a lot of abuse. The best value in a 3D deer that I've seen. I like it so much, I bought another one when he had more available and donated it to our Shrewhaven Lodge camp for this fall. Jim doesn't always have them available, but when they're there, jump on one. You'll be pleased.

Well, there you have it. Some great products from some wonderful sponsors that have been top notch to deal with and products that I'm comfortable recommending with confidence to anyone here on Tradgang.

Yes, you're absolutely correct. The sponsor's list is the first place I go whenever I need something.
