If it's available, I think that leopardwood is a fantastic looking wood on a bow. I have a hybrid with leoaprdwood & dymondwood in the riser and I think it's mighty purty. I can't post pix on here, but could text 'em if ya wanted.

Thanks for this thread. As of today I'm on the list as well! Are the most beautiful things I think I've ever seen. 6 months and counting...

Just wanted to let anyone know that might be thinking about leopard or lace wood. Ain't happening....I still have some of it in stock as I'm a wood addict. However, after the second attempt of working with it and nearly having to admit my self to the emergency room each time. It has been dropped form the option list.

Thanks ya'll, BigJIm

This Thunderchild was the first custom bow I ever bought new.  She is stunning.  Bacote and Koa.

I'll be watching this because I'm also on the list. I'm attracted to the lighter colors and my other bows show that preference but on this one I'm thinking maybe something darker, fitting for a bow called a Thunderchild. I'll just let Big Jim do his magic on it!

I've never owned a Big Jim, but  will. There is only one other bowyer who makes a grip that I love and fits me so well and that's a Berry bow.  Big Jim has the grip on his buffalo and TC absolutly perfect.  My buddy let me shoot his TC but he wouldn't turn around long enough for me to take off running with it. Another plug for a great fella.I worked out a trade with the little fella a while ago and last week was the proud recipient of a new Desert Bighorn Recurve, all I can say is WOW.Shedua and Zebrawood riser with Zebra limbs.Has hunting written all over it.Like every BJ I've owned Immpecible workmanship.
Quote from Howard Hill.( Whenever he taught someone to shoot) "Son make up your mind right now if you want to target shoot or hunt as theres a world of differance between the two"
