58" Bear Grizzly String
« on: December 04, 2013, 12:32:00 PM »
I just ordered a string for my 58" Bear Grizzly. When un strung the string seems awefully tight. Usually they are kinda loose right? Just wondering if they sent the wrong size. It did say 58" on the package. The loop comes down the limb and gets pretty tight over the limb.

Could be the string loop is just a little small. I make a 54 1/4" string for the 58" Grizzlies and brace height around 8" from the deepest part of the grip.

Like Jack said, the loop is just a little small.  How far the string will slide down the limb is a function of loop size, not string length.  The loop may stretch out a bit and fit better over time.  It may not also.  Either way, if it braces the bow properly when strung, it'll be fine.
