Presentation II Riser Identification
« on: December 06, 2013, 02:32:00 AM »
Good evening,
I recently purchased a ~1968 Wing Presentation II and am interested in identifying the riser material.  It has a dark brown, but not black, simulated wood appearance and heavy.  I think it could be Macarta but I've been told it could also be Formica.  Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

Looks like paper-based micarta to me.

Thanks for the info, guys.  I like the weight of the riser plus the grip feels real good in my hands.

I forgot about the Trad History forum; thanks for the reminder.

Regards,
Dave

Why not call Bob Lee?  He is a very personable and helpful guy besides being a great bowyer.
