Specifically For A&H ACS 3 Piece Owners

I have the 64" three piece that I absolutely love and have a question on set-up for the guys that own or have previously owned one of these.
I got my bow used and it had the Limbsaver vibration dampeners attached -
https://www.limbsaver.com/store/product.php?productid=16197&cat=0&page=1
about 4 inches off of the riser. I have shot it for 4 years just as it came but wonder if these are really needed?
My bow is super quiet and I have no issues but it would be great to be able to get rid of these if not really needed. I have no idea why the previous owner installed these. I know I can remove them as a test but that would require I buy another pair. I do not think the adhesive will work a second time.
So, do a lot of ACS owners install the Limbsavers? If so, is it for noise or ....?
Thanks,
James

Take them off and see what you think. You can get some double sided 3M tape to put them back on if you like. I have a set for experimentation. I have had them on and off a couple bows. I think they can help with some bows. Most of it is personal preference on feel or sound, and that can be dependent on how someone shoots a bow, arrow weight.....

Nope, you shouldn't need them. I have 2 ACS bows and one had them, took them off and no difference. Both bows shoot excellent, no hand shock or vibrations. These are some of the greatest shooting bows out there IMO.

Not sure they are helpful but I doubt they are harmful either, especially that close to the riser...there is always the possibility you might lift some of the finish removing them...contact the guys at A & H to see what they think...they are great people to deal with

I have had a few of them and they were quick and very quiet. I would say remove them and you'll never look back. The one thing that I did notice on the ones that I had and that is that they liked the brace height on the higher side of the scale.

Be careful the adhesive on the limb savers doesn't pull the finish off the limb. Been there.........

Well, on the advice of you guys that have owned the ACS I pulled these off. There were no issues with it messing up the finish below which is one concern I had. Now the only thing is to shoot and see if I notice a difference. I pride myself on having a silent
I really think the ACS is as good of a bow as possible to get. I look forward to many more years with this sweet, fast arrow slinger!
Cheers,
James

I don't own one but have shot one. Simply the best performing (read fastest) bow I have ever shot. Plenty quiet without dampeners too.

I've shot three piece ACSs for about 8 years now. Never saw the need for limb dampeners. Don't use them.

I have three ACS's now and haven't needed them.A properly tuned bow to you're style of shooting does wonders for noise.

As I recall I always shot my ACS CX without string silencers...it was plenty quiet even that way and with the recommended 7 inch brace height

I don't have them on my ACS and it is a quiet longbow.

My ACS never required any additional dampening.
Nice bows...

I would not see the need for these devices on my ACS bows.

Shooting with arrow of at least 9gpp I have never experienced any vibration even at the skinny side of the recommended brace height. Doesn't even need string silencers. I do shoot with a bow quiver though and that may dampen any vibration if there was some.

I could see why someone might experiment with them on an ACS. I had one for a little while and noticed compared to other 3pc hybrids I shot it had some oscillation in the limbs, even at max recommended brace of 7 1/4". Thought it was the bees knees until I shot a Centaur, and well the rest is history... :D
