I see Dennis every year at Western States Rendezvous. and... He tries to sell me a book every year too.

This last year i ask him to put away his book and come share a camp fire with me and we'll swap a few tales.... Later that evening He came by my camp and we told each other stories till midnight and had a great evening...

I explained to him my trophies were not measured by antler size at all. Also that i never had much use for trophy hunters, or could really care less about going for a grand slam.... What can i say? i don't like to shoot bears because they are cool animals & the meat tastes nasty to me. i'm pretty much a meat hunter myself.

The guy is a good story teller around the fire, and a very likable sort of guy.... But i wouldn't part with any cash for his books.

My father and I both have hard copies. The artwork alone would make it worth purchasing.  Yes, some of those animals were with an older style compounds and no sight or releases.  It might interest you that he has since hung up the compound and is rehunting the animals that didn't make P&Y with his recurve.
