Killed my own turkey. ( home raised ) 48 lbs on the hoof! Here's hoping it will fit in the oven. Cranberry sauce made from low bush wild cranberries ( lingon berries ) I picked myself (while moose hunting). I didn't kill um with a bow, but they are kinda traditional.

two wild hog loins stuffed with apples, apricots, shallots, and mortadela with a reduction glaze.
accompanied by Great Lakes wild rice, glazed carrots, and mashed potatoes with chives, sour cream, bacon, fresh cracked pepper.

A 2005 White California Cab Sauvignon.  A three layer coconut cake for dessert.

Terry, I would love that, even if its just to see some of the hunting footage from your previous hunts and share some tales.

What's you address again, Ray???  I'll bring some cheese biscuits.  Not a fan of coconut, so I'll also bring a cherry pie.

I'll be hunting that morning but I'll be thinking of venison loaf sandwiches with sweet baby rays on rye, and fried potatoes sprinkled with Cajon seasonings and Louisiana hot sauce,,,, Sam Adams winter lager to wash it down.

Celebrated Christmas with the inlaws on Saturday night.  I grilled venison steaks from a year and a half old doe, marinated with Montreal steak seasoning, olive oil, and red wine vinegar.  Seared hot and fast then finished with my wife's homemade chimmichurri sauce.
Everyone loved it except for one brother in law from the twin cities...  he's always been a bit different.

Smoker cooked prime rib roast; twice-baked potatoes; home-made dinner rolls; wife's apple pie.
