What is the difference in the ILF limb system and DAS. Are they interchangeable. It apearse that there a lot more ILF system limbs out there than the DAS.

The only difference is in the limb bushings.

Jeff- Limb bushings can usually be changed in a matter of minutes if pressed out carefully by hand or with a c-clamp.  Meaning you can convert nearly any ILF limb out there to DAS, and back again. Easy peezy.  3Rivers sells DAS bushings that can be used on most any ILF limb.  Another difference is DAS risers have a rubber pad that dampens noise and vibration- it does help, but none of the ILF setups I have tried have been noisy due to lacking this feature.  DAS is also  more secure when unstrung because a thumbscrew holds the limb on, not just a springloaded dovetail- again, properly adjusted I have never just had limbs fall off with no provocation, however its best not to walk around much with bow unstrung because they can wiggle out with enough disturbance.  The counterpoint to this on DAS is you should check the thumbscrew tightness periodically to ensure it is good to go.  ILF is generally accepted as the simplest mechanism, hence the most popular.  I like both for different reasons and currently own one riser of each system.

ILF would be slightly quicker to change limbs. Pull the old ones out and push the new ones on. Presto, chango.
