What is a MOAB?
« on: January 21, 2007, 10:13:00 AM »
I know the MOAB is one in the Thunderstick line, however, if I go to Jim's website, there is no listing for a MOAB.  Is it a derivative of one of the bows already listed?  If so, what makes it different?  I am thinking of ordering my first tailored bow and thinking seriously of a Thunderstick.

It is the very first bow listed under the longbows. I just looked, it's still there.

See it now.  If I access the site thru the *********** hyperlink, the web page doesn't show that bow.  Love technology...not.

For purposes of this website I pretty much Wudstick has it right.

For posterity, Moab is a range of mountains in the Near East, in the ancient biblical region; and a group of ancient biblical people, the Moabites.

More to the point in the US, it a region in the American West, Moab.  Also a small town in Utah, South of Arches National Park.  Never been there, by all reports a beautiful area.   http://www.utah.com/moab/

Cold right now though.

The MOAB is a great little bow.....the one trade off that I made that I still regret. Fair price, great craftsmanship and an even better shooter!
