Ghostblind users

My mother-in-law gave me a ghostblind for Christmas this year and was wondering if those that use these blinds would recommend me purchasing the extenders that go on the top of the blind?

It will work great on flat ground. Around here, you have the deer either looking downhill and in on you or looking up hill and seeing their reflection. I do not have the extenders.
