Usally shorter draws use shorter bows to get max. performance. Longer will be smoother-less finger pinch. Short may be better in the deer stand and ground blind and going thru the bush. I think if you get a good bowyer he can tiller a longer bow for a shorter draw. Personally I like the longest bow that is practical for my type of hunting.

In my woods (New England mostly) I like 60" for my 28" draw. I have a longer riser (18.5) shorter limbs Border Swift-smokes!  :)

IMHO depends on two things your draw length and how good you shoot. If you are not accurate then get the longest bow that will work for your draw length. If you are very accurate then the bow that feels right.

58" with my 27" draw, max I would use is 60"
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

If you get shorter bows like my 56" ChekMate, the riser is short as is the window.  With my anchor and face shape, I shot 3 under, split just wouldn't work.  Make sure the window works for your form with proper sight picture on a shorter bow before you decide.

Generally I like 58" and 60" recurves for my 27" draw.  That said, I have a 56" recurve that I use when hunting in tight locations.  It has a deflexed riser to promote forgiveness and is as accurate for me as my other bows.
