Fosrt Stewarts shooting "test" answers
« on: January 21, 2014, 12:12:00 PM »
Here are the facts after much digging.
The lady at pass and permit said you did`nt need one then the next time there the other lady  said you did. I decided to ask the folks that write the tickets. Here are the facts.
YOU MUST QUALIFY ONE TIME AND PASS AND KEEP THE PASSING PERMIT ON YOU WHILE HUNTING.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO UPDATE EVERY YEAR UNLESS YOU WANT TO HUNT IN THE CONTAINMENT AREAS" AROUND TOWN".
ONE MORE TIME. YOU MUST QUALIFY AT LEAST ONCE AND KEEP THE PERMIT ON YOU.
IF YOU ARE GONNA GUN HUNT YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER YOUR FIREARM BEFORE HUNTING. DONT EXPECT TO DO THAT THE SAME  DAY OF HUNTING.
I would advise calling and setting up a time for your shooting test. for traditional you must shoot 2 of 3 arrows in a paper plate at 15 and 20 yards. I know one fella that showed his bowhunter safety card and they did not make him shoot. Don`t know if that will work everytime.
For the record hogs are THICK there this year.

Never question a man's choice in bows or the quality of an animal he kills.  He is the only one who has to be satisfied with either of those choices.

Several military bases I was stationed on required such tests.

I have seen people have to take the test several times to pass.

It is a gateway to shift out guys who get gear on Friday and hunt on Saturday.
