Snowing in Chesterfield County Virginia
« on: January 21, 2014, 04:34:00 PM »
First snowfall of the year. Loving it!!32degrees and shooting my recurve. The flight of the arrow in the falling snow is a beautiful sight! Training wheel shooters can't relate to what joy traditional archers see and feel.  Just throwing out my two cents. Lol

How much snow you getting in Chesterfield? Over here in orange, we've accumulated less than an inch. On the flip-side I've been keeping warm inside, winds blowing 10 to 20mph. Just made myself a new back-up B-50 14 strand string.

Bout 45 minutes south of Richmond. Rite across the Appomattox River from Dinwiddie County. While you are here for training you ought to check out some of the local archery clubs for the 3d shoots.

I'd like to do that, I'd be limited to weekday evenings. I go home for the weekends.

Made it to Dixie Bowmen this past weekend, good to get out and shoot 3D.  New to VA, is there any 3D shoots this weekend?  Even found Rockwood Park on Sunday and did some more shooting there.  I am in the Midlothian area, let me know what's around.
Thanks

Snow is coming down pretty well in Chesapeake but were only expected to get 1-3".......that's basically the snowpocalypse around here.  The Tidewater 3d shoot in Newport News should be on feb 2nd if anyone is interested in going.

Any of you guys get out to SW Virginia? Sherwood Archers and Blackwater Bowhunters each have a 3-d each month. Lots of Traditional shooters but all types of bows shoot.
We have about 3 inches in Floyd county now--go out and shot my Widow around noon today--great day. Thanks, Roy
Maybe it is time to shoot what I have on the rack

Hey Floyd, here is a link to tidewaters website.
 http://www.tba3-d.com/

It's at Newport News Park.  It's a lot of compound shooters  but there is normally a good turnout of traditional archers as well
