just received my Whip bow
36# at 29 inches and 64 long cut 1/16 past centre
spoke with Dan and he told me Easton Legacy 1916 was to stif for this bow ( like some of you told me ) he told me on this low poundage bow you ca go down to 8 gpp with no arm to the bow
he suggested going down one notch
tel me you opinion on this arrow I work out on the 3rivers calculator
Easton X7 1814 29.5 inches with 50gr point +14 gr insert total 64 with 4 inches feathers total weigh of arrow is 339 gr
on the calculator it come to 50.5 to 50.3

I'm shooting 1716s out of my longbow, 33# @ 28 and I'm drawing around 28 1/2". With 100 grain points they really fly nice, but they're right at the top edge of stiffness for that bow. I could shoot 125gr points and probably be right on.

FWIW
I have a 40 @29" Lynx. 64" So its real close to your bow. All my arrows are full length.
For tournaments I shoot a CX predator 2 in a 700 spine and a 125 tip.
For hunting I shoot a CX Heritage 90 with 200 grain broad head.
Both fly really good for me.

Bladepeek and FJTOYMAN
if I put your arrows in the calculator they are to weak
and there you say they fly great….
so I should not trust to much the spine Calculator chart ?

Something with a deflection around 650 should work using 100-125 grain point weight. Start full length and cut back 1/4" at a time until satisfied with your arrow flight. I am thinking a 100 grain point would give the better arrow flight. DO NOT BARE SHAFT TUNE until you are totally familiar with the bow. This goes for all bows when bare shaft tuning.

I tried some bare shaft 1916 with 125 gr tip and 15 gr insert
the arrow where 29 3/4
this in my garage a 15 feet and the nock alway ended a bit on the right side which for a left hand shooter is week spine
I practice a bit with the same arrow and they where all niside 2 inches
this arrow is according to Easton 628
and when I tried the same arrow with feathers well no go
it hit the riser often…..
guess I have to practice my form a bit

I'm shooting a 58 inch whip 40lbs at my 27 3/4 inch draw and finally found the right arrows
Easton axis trad 600 spine cut to 28.5 60 grain insert with 145 grain head is what it loves.
