newbie experience while bare shaft tuning

While I was doing some bare shaft tuning this morning  a supposed tune arrow according to the 3Rivers spine calculator
made a 6 inches tear to the right on the first shot,  to confirm I shot 2 more and one was almost perfect
mmmmm said to myself
must be the way I release so tried again and out of about 10 shot I had 6 or 7 good almost bullet hole making certain to pull than anchor the same way and release with a bit of back tension
next  I just shot at my target looking at the angle that the arrow entered and after a while most of them entered straight and my accuracy double
now on to the fine tuning…...

Nice job on not getting frustrated and thinking through the process.  Seems like the arrow length and point weight combo are working.  Fletch some up and have fun shooting and working on your form.  As you get better, and it gets close to hunting season it would be worth checking again to make sure they length and point are still bare shafting straight. This will make sure your broadheads fly right.  Your might lengthen your draw some, or change your release a bit which over time which could affect the tuning of the arrow.
