Uni-fletcher?
« on: January 27, 2014, 06:50:00 PM »
I have a friend who wants to start making her own arrows.  I have never used anything but Bitzenberger, but she doesn't want to invest that kind of money and I don't blame her.  looks to me like the Uni-fletcher is the Bitzenberger design, but I don't know anybody who has actually used one.  does anybody have any sage advice on this jig?  thanks!

I've got a table of 12 Vador Uni-Fletchers and am very happy with them. I couldn't tell you how many arrows I've made on the table but it's been a pretty good number.
For the price of a Bitz clamp you can get a complete Vador jig. It sounded like a good deal to me about 14 years ago and it still does today.

Every bit as good as a Bit at a fraction of the cost. So similar the clamps are interchangeable.

Big Jim sells the Uni-Fletcher and he seems to have a clue to what he's doing   ;)

They are good working jigs. I have used them and feel they will work well for most anybody. If you fletch a lot of arrows for friends family and whoever, you would certainly have to replace them sooner than Bitz, but their price allows most to get 3 for the price of one Bitz therefore making them last three times longer.

thanks, bigjim
