a time for Humility
« on: January 28, 2014, 09:26:00 AM »
So i've been giving it a lot of thought, and I'm afraid I'm Overbowed... been thinking a lot about my draw, and after reading Terry's form clock, I realize I've been pulling my draw with my arms, not my rhomboids.

If anyone has a bow comparable to a Bear Archery Super Kodiak, 1 month old, 60# draw, RH - and would like to trade, I'd like to go down to 50#.

send me a pm with any recurves that fit that bill (I paid $550 for it... and love the look, so something similar would be fantastic).

no longbows, just recurves   :)

(note, i would have put this in the classifieds section, but after getting a new clutch put in my 05 hyundai last week, and getting the timing belt done tomorrow, then rent on the 1st, i'm pretty strapped for anything other than milk at the moment)

thanks for reading   :)

I too prefer a bow that is heavy enough, but not too heavy.  Most of the time (almost always) I'm shooting at a target anyway and a little lighter bow is more fun for me, plus I shoot them better.

Good luck in your quest for a trade.  You should post a nice photo of your bow and what you are looking for in the classifieds.

Smart move, I think most of us have been there.
I'm looking to go lighter right now.

If you can swing it, based on your previous post, pay the fee and consider posting this in the classifieds.  Might get a better response.  Good luck with your quest and use the back!

my happy place is 53#, and it'll kill just about anything I have a legitimate shot at seeing.

probably a wise move.

I started dropping weight all the way down 50# at my draw. My shooting has gotten so much better and I'm finally killing deer. Never could hit one shooting the heavier weights, and I'm having a heck of a lot more fun too.
