I use a "EFA" bow quiver with off set and totem on my long bows when hunting. Love the ease of carry and I do not take the quiver off the bow during the hunting season. Additional weight added by the quiver and arrows has never been a problem for me, in fact, I believe it helps stabilize my long bows. With that said, it is a personal decision. I use a plains quiver(over the shoulder)during 3-d shoots, probably because I can carry field points without ruining my bow quiver inserts(saves $$$) and I need more arrows when shooting 3-D. Good luck and shoot straight.

GFA is the perfect quiver for me. I add a fletch cover. Easy arrow access, lightweight, versatile, works well with a pack. I hunt some pretty thick stuff and the GFA slips thru quietly. Can't handle a quiver on my lightweight bows.

If I ground hunted I would be all over one (catquiver) From the stand I have come to the point that a bow quiver just works best for me.

just remember a bow will shoot a little diffrent spine arrow with or without a bow quiver attatched... but you may have to bare shaft or paper tune to see it, I found the lighter quivers like a GN vs a bulkier/heavier quiver doesnt seem to affect it quite as much, but i still WAY prefer a cat quiver. i hang my pack/quiver in the tree beside me and the arrows are proctected and very accessable

I mainly shoot TD recurves and most of them wear custom matching wood quivers built by Zipper bows. It's a personal thing but I really like the look/feel of matching wood quivers. As stated before, a bow quiver loaded with arrows has a stabilizer effect on the bow. Some folks want a light setup, not I. I'm fine with a full size/weight setup. Your milage may vary...

I used to have a quiver on my bow years ago but find it much easier to be quiet with out one . Don't have to worry about touching feathers or twigs as much during the draw

I decided to hunt without a bow quiver this last year..so i took my great northern off and set it up kinda like the asbell quiver..I took the rubber straps off and tied a piece of camo rope on one end and then to the other..then I hung it around my neck and at my side with fletchs to the rear..worked great when Iwalked out to the spot I'd been hunting..probably not good for stalking thou..and if it starts raining I carry a plastic ziplock bag and that protects my feathers..why buy a bunch of expensive equipment if u don't have to..keep it simple..the deer aren't impressed with all your fancy stuff..no offense just my opinion..and u know what they say about opinions..lol

I almost always use a bow quiver...if I want light weight I go with the EFA 4 arrow model If I want more weight like on a longbow to help protect my tendinitis prone elbow I use a 5 arrow Great Northern. I find that an oversized fanny pack with shoulder strap works best for e on most hunts

I am one of those that doesn't like shooting or hunting with a bow quiver. For one I use bright fletchings and I feel like I am waving a flag with every little move I make with my bow with a quiver on it. I have come to much prefer side quivers like the Safari tuff arrowmaster or my favorite the arrowmate elite quiver.

I prefer a quiver on my bow. My long bow is very light so adding the 4 arrow EFA quiver gave me a little extra weight that I liked to have on it.
