Hi guys, I could and should tell a story about how I got my very first "made for me" custom Bow. and how I met Jared Marinelli, etc. But I am rediculously long winded and will save that for another time.
I am NOT the person to tell anyone which bow He or she should or shouldnt get.
There are a Tremendous number of amazing bowyers out there and all nice people who make our passion for archery become a reality, by creating true works of art that perform. I always recommend to those that ask... Shoot as many different bows as you possibly can some things will work for you and some simply will not. During the time you spend doing this you will figure out which one of these bow designs will be right for you. There is no right or wrong and there isnt one better than the other... Its simply what works for you
Although there are quite a few people out there who have journeyman bows and who may chime in here. I dont think these bows get the true recognition that they deserve. Ive owned an almost countless number of bows over the years from most of the bowyers you all know and love and I really do love and admire all of them, and I've shot even more than I choose to remember.
I ordered my first "Custom made for me" bow this time last year..ish (mar or april)
Talked to Jared on the phone about specifics and mailed him my deposit. As I 'm indecisive it took some time to know which wood I wanted in my recurve. But after I decided I think I had my bow in about 6 weeks or so.. with jared texting me "teaser" pictures the whole time. when it arrived I was very impressed
Bottom line this bow Performs, Quiet, Fast, Dead in the hand shooter, its pretty rugged as I dont worry about "scratching it" on all the rocks we have in colorado.
Jared Is not a salesman, (he has a regular job like most bowyers)
He wont try to sell you anything, and hes quite modest.
But he has a true passion for making a quality Bow.
I currently have 2 one RC and one LB and I have another LB in production as I write this.
Id recommend to anyone to put a Journeyman bow on your list of bows to get your hands on and see just what i'm talking about...
good luck no matter what you decide!
