My new Crow Creek Black Feather
« on: February 05, 2014, 04:21:00 PM »
Well Monday was a good day! I received my Black Feather from Elmer Patton. I want to say that I couldn't be more pleased with Mr. Patton's craftsmanship and eye for what looks good. I wish these pictures would do this bow justice, but its one of those things you have to be holding it in your hands to appreciate it! As my wife said, "It's beautiful" I also want to give thanks to Dave (Trux Turning)for the antler base limb bolts he made. He boxed them up and mailed them out before he even received payment! Thanks Dave! The traditional community is full of great people. Here are the pics of my bow with antler limb bolts.

In the last pic the four shots were from 18 yards and I had to put the removable vitals back in the target for the pic. The fourth arrow blew it out the back.

That's a nice looking Black Feather. I've had mine for three years and am still impressed by Elmer's work. Enjoy your new hunting partner.

Elmer is a great guy to talk to and makes a fine longbow. You will enjoy that bow for a long time. The limb lams look like art. Nice, Roy
Maybe it is time to shoot what I have on the rack
