Kim, Not a DC but I have been going for years.
My right shoulder started to hurt about 4-5 yrs ago. With in a week I could not sleep, move it, lift, shoot, Nothing.
Went to the DC, told the girl that gives a warm up massage that my shoulder hurt worse than my back. She did some deep tissue prodding and then told the Doc what was going on, A few minutes later ALL of the pain was gone and has never come back.
2yrs ago my left shoulder did the same thing. Did the DC trick again but this seemed to be a little different and didn't want to go away.
MRI said laberal tear. Surgeon said her office exam didn't support the MRI/x-ray findings.
6-8 Physical therapy sessions and a summer of home exercise program and I was back up to hunting weight bows. Now I can draw and shoot an 80+# bow a few times.
I kept going to the DC thru all of this and I feel that he helped as much as any of the therapy.
I think my problem starts in my neck and goes down into the front point of my shoulder. When my neck hurts, so does my shoulder.
A few exercise and a few trips to the DC and I am good to go. My trips to the DC are less frequent when I keep up with my exercises.
I like Chiropractors. ALOT.
I could write a book about my back issues and other "Whole Body" help they have provided me over the years.
Joe, I am putting you on my list of people to visit if and when I elk hunt this fall in CO.
Good luck.
