Anyone know of an all natural, as in no hazardous chemicals, tick repellent that actually works?

I've been treating my and Laura's outer garments with the permithrium stuff. When it dries it's non toxic and this year ticks were not a problem. I've have been treated for Lyme 3 times so I decided to give the stuff a go and it worked.

Bill's got the answer. If Your against trying that you might give the powdered Sulpher a try. Works on Chiggers.

I think I'm going to give this a try this year. My understanding is that this stuff actually kills the little buggers, which sounds like a plan to me.

Badger's spray, spray it all over yourself and the kids, two years and no ticks, and hardly any chiggers.

While permethrin is less toxic in its dry state than many things. In a wet state such as breathing in the mist, while spraying your clothes, or on a sweaty collar, it can cause reactions.  Just a small amount can kill fish in a pond. I have seen ticks fall off my pants that was treated with it and hit the ground stone dead. I may still use it on my bush in abag, but the Badger spray will go on my person. I already take organic apple cider vinegar every day, it has many health benefits, I was not aware of its bug repelent qualities.

I've been using permethrin on my clothes with good success. I heard that sulfur works good, but smells like..sulfur. I'll look at badgers, because I sure don't like ticks, and even more don't like chiggers (aka pure misery).

Sawyers is a great tick repellant(and chiggers)I use it as Bill stated and I have not had a chigger or tick in years.Great stuff, and it last through a few washings of the clothes.

Here's the one I use from Tropical Traditions. Works well for mosquitos but not sure about ticks as I treat my clothes liberally with permethrine.

I use the permithrium. The stuff works great! I was unaware of vinegar working for this. I'll have to give it a try as well
