True Elk bowhunt recommendation
« on: September 16, 2007, 05:57:00 PM »
Before I went elking last week I tried to ask around to get recommendations for a good bowhunting elk outfitter.  I am now here to recommend a really good outfitter.

Mike and Danny Murphy with T Bar M Outfitters in Durango, CO.  It was a great experience.  They are traditional shooters and guide like they are.  They are not rifle guides trying to guide for a bowhunter.  They work very hard at bowhunting elk.  The food is also great and alot of it.  It was very obvious to me that these guys do not cut corners while providing a bowhunting service.   They do not just get you in the woods and take your money.  They give you an excellent chance of taking a bull.  We were in bulls everyday.

It was actually more than I expected for $4,000.  Also you don't have to draw for tags.  They are bought over the counter with your license.

Been there and will be going back hopefully 2008. The ride in is great and the hunting a true wilderness experience. Mike and his son are true gentleman. Greg
