Fox High Sierra
« on: February 20, 2014, 09:27:00 PM »
I stumbled upon a gorgeous Fox High Sierra recurve. I did a quick search and did not see a whole lot of threads about Fox recurve a. Does anyone have any experience or comments about them? Pics? The bow is 58", will it work with my 29" draw?
Thanks

I have had two Fox bows and my girlfriend has one now they are a high quality bow very fast especially with a skinny string. They shoot very good it should work fine at 29" I would buy it if you like it you won't be disappointed.   Widow

While I now am shooting primarily Longbows I have a High Sierra I bought in 1998. One of the best Recurves I have shot. Stable, smooth on the draw, and pretty quick. Can't go wrong in MHO.

I bought a High Sierra in 2001.  They are great bows with terrific feeling grips.  My draw is only 26" (the bow was 58") but it was very smooth for me.

Have another Fox (Maverick) due in May.

You bet it'll work with your draw.
The High Sierra is a great bow. I have one & it's fantastic. Even if the bow is rated @28" a 29" draw won't hurt anything.
   Mine is 62" 55lb @ 29 & a very sweet shooting bow. Ron King @ Fox Archery does a fantastic job. I wouldn't worry about it a bit.    ;)
Let us know if you get it I think you will be pleased.

I own one.  Mine is 60" 55@28 with black locust limbs and a brazillian rosewood riser.  They are a nice bow, have narrow limbs.

Did not happen today:( he got called in for work so hard to get too upset.  Limbs are dirty bamboo with elk antler tips. Riser looks to be cocobolo or bubinga

Bad news-couldn't make the deal go through. No worries, sometimes things work out better. Found a silver tip that will be on its way to my casa!

Sorry you couldn't get the High Sierra, but the Silvertip is supposed to be a great bow too!
