Hoyt buffalo tuning question
« on: February 22, 2014, 10:57:00 AM »
Hi All, 1st Do you offset tiller 1/8th shorter on lower limb or just crank both to the stops? I shoot split finger and brace about 8 inches, I get a little buzz after I shoot, sounds like from top limb. brace height or slight tiller offset makes little change. Heavy arrows or standard weight arrow same buzz. Great string with bow hush and yarn silencers. Dont notice it outside but in the basement it has a clear buzz.

I don't crank mine to the stops rather start with them turned out about 1 1/2 turns and then I back off the top bolt so I get 1/8" more on top limb. You may want to pad with something soft where the limbs touch the metal cantilever pads. I used deerskin. I also put O rings on the limb bolts to cushion where the limb bolt meets the limbs. It may be the bow quiver if you have one mounted too.

I have done everything reddogge has done and also installed limbsavers ,they really dampened alot of noise.
