To the days of old.....
« on: February 24, 2014, 09:39:00 PM »
“To the days of old!”

When the winter comes
My mind will wonder
To warmer days
And hunts to ponder
As the fire blazes
To hold out the cold
I drift off,
To the days of old

Days more spent
Deep in the wood
Flinging arrows
Like Robin Hood
Longbow limbs
Bent like graceful wing
And a feathered shaft
Through the wind would sing

Close your eyes
And drift along
To the vibrations of
The bow string song
See the arrow
To the mountain bold
Gently disappear
Like the days of old

So, by the fire
And out the window pane
I sit and watch
The winter rain
And dream of days
Ohh, so bold!
When I ran the woods
Like the days of old

Thanks everyone! Have not been on in a while due to various family issues. Things are starting to settle down a little now though. I've got a couple more that I've done and will post them over time.   :D
