Question For Widow Owners.

I have a question for you folks that own Black Widows. There is a Bud of mine that is still shooting a Wheely Bow.He said that the only Traditional Bow he wants or would shoot is a Widow. Now the hard part: In your honest opinion which model do you think would be the easiest to tune, shoot, and shoot accurately? I told him most likely a PM or PS What do you folks think? Your help is greatly appreciated Thanks.

I just ordered a pma V take down recurve 64 length 54@28 in. Talk to rodger thats probaly your best bet, he told me that the longer the riser the more forgiving the bow.Hope this helps and good luck! :

Really, PSA or PMA 220-221 what ever it takes.

Fortunately Black Widow has a test drive program. I'd suggest (your friend) trying out a PMA and a PSA. Roger and the guys can advise him on bow weight, length etc.
Good shooting!

My first question would be: Has he even shot a trad bow yet ?
then: How does he know he wants a black widow ???
Sure they are fine bows. But start him off right with a 45-50 pound used bow to learn how to tune and shoot.
Fortunately I inherited my first trad bow. But my first purchase, I never realized until I took it out and shot it.... then made it mine !
Just another perspective. I'd hate to see the guy spend a bunch of money on something he doesn't like. I'd like a widow or two myself, but it certainly wasn't an all or nothing choice. There's so many nice bows out there....
Maybe my pockets are still too tight, I dunno

Gordy, that's just the type of person he is.[If you get my drift]He could shoot anyone of my bows OR hunt with anyone of my bows he's welcome. Thanks for all the responses Folks I really appreciate it. I figured the PM/PS would be top choice.

I have both MA's PA'a or now PSA's. The easiest to shoot is the longest, the MA's give you a bit longer bow with the same length limbs or he can go with the PSA and get the longer limbs with a slightly shorter overall length bow, its not a huge difference either way, shooting truly instinctive, I don't notice the bow at all, so the shorter sight window of the PSA is fine with me.

use BW's try-before-you-buy plan,,,,,,,, with that said i'd think the pma series would be a good place to start,,, if'n he wants a widder.
