No heel option
« on: February 27, 2014, 10:31:00 AM »
I wish the companies such as LL Bean, Shnees, etc would make a boot without the heel.  I have a pair of Bean MHS that I love, but would like option of no heel.  I use the heel when walking on slippery hillsides so it is needed, but when stalking on flat ground, I think a flat bottom would be better.  I'm a fan of leather upper/rubber bottom boots so an all rubber is not an option. Don't like how they feel. What do you guys think?

I conpletely agree.  I love the shoes that I have that have no heels, and I experience less foot and knee problems when wearing them.  I would love to see a no heel, minimalist, waterproof hunting boot option.

I know Russels have the no heel option, but I just wish the Bean style boots had this option.

They do, the Thula, but at almost $400, I'm hesitant to try them.

Belleville makes a Mini-Mil that I've been tempted to try.  But, just looking at the store, the sole seemed very stiff.
