What kind of critter is that clinging to your head, Ron?
That's an Otter hat, like the one Charlton Heston (Bill Tyler) wore in the Movie "Mountain Men"

I really like the 3-d leafy wear in realtree BUT every year I find myself buying less of the "modern" camo and learning how to make my own; It's alot of fun

Man Ron, the Mountain Men is one of my favorite movies.  Where can I get a hat like that??

Mr. LaClair,
Do you ever put on a little warpaint to help hide the face?
And either you are a small man or that knife on your belt is HUGE.

Ron is small, compared to a bull grizzly.

Joe Skipp...just for giggles, go back to that spot you took a photo of and wear a gray sweatshirt and jeans, and take a black and white photo.  That ASAT is nice, but I'm betting you will also be hard to see in gray.  Like most of us, your face and bow will pose more issues than your body, since they are what will be moving most.

I like plaids because you can buy them in soft, warm material, and because I just don't care that much for camo.  I do have some that I bought for $2.00 a piece on clearance, but I much prefer jeans and plaid in warm times;  wool pants and plaid wool in colder weather.

Paul, I would like to see your new camo patterns, and would like to maybe add a pop up blind that resembles a Hummer.. no tough audience here...but seriously ,, Predator and a leafy bug tamer ...

George, back when I was writing, all I ever took was black and white photos. Especially when I wrote articles on camouflage. B&W will give you a better prespective of what you look like out there.

Early season, I use a Sticks 'N Limbs shirt, light tan, slate blue and black...very effective.
Not worried about bow or face, I use a camo head net and if the deer are that close to me, they are usually dead or running away with an arrow in them.

Tree stand hunters, doesn't matter what they wear as long as they remain still. From the ground though, its tough to beat ASAT, Predator Brown or Brown Woodland.

Nice one Legolas! and you too instech  :clapper:

But seriously folks, out here on the game farms a few years back you were likely as not to have a farm worker dressed in faded blue or green coveralls and maybe gumboots, a crumbling, ancient felt hat and with the deep dark odour of fires and truely horrible cheap tobacco. He may cough regular too. There you are all spruced up in your clean, fancy gear, and off you go. The 'tracker' scuffels along and spits now and then after a hearty cough. Lo! There stands the game! Why? How? Well they recognise the noise and smell of the worker, but up you step and bye bye! There is a hunter here who wrote about how he could not get very close to some impala until a farm worker came riding along on his squeeky bicycle, rode right through the herd they didn't flinch. Hunter stops him, rents the bike, returns and shoots his buck as easy as pie! Camo is funny stuff, I can't make my mind up but it is fun and sure, I do have lots of it,it's cheap and doesn't mind hard treatment but I wouldn't stand before a judge and say it was the camo that did it. Just wear plain, dull & boring patterns and colours, unless you're hunting from the porch or the back of the lawn mower. Glinty gold chains, that chanel stuff, the tinkle of ice in a glass, why wait until it's all over?
