Here is my take. I shot the original vented Woodsmans in the past and have found that they get the job done, but the blades will bend when they go into critters. I have a drawer full of bent up originals. I switched to VPA(Woodsman Elites are the same head) and these issues have stopped. Last year I put the same head through a bull elk, a whitetail buck, a doe, and a coyote. All three blades are still true and it flies perfect. These heads are machined out of a block of steel. the blades are welded onto the old style. You get what you pay for. Unless you loose them, they should last a long time.
