Ground Blind for All Season
«

I hate to beat a dead horse on what's the best blind but I'm looking for a blind I can leave set up all season. I currently have a DB Matrix (made prior to Primos). It's probably on it's last leg. I live in Nazi NJ and I hate just about everything about this state except the long deer season and the amount of deer. Our season is Sept-Feb! I like to keep the blind up all season. I guess my requirements are as follows;
1. NO MADE IN CHINA STUFF - I prefer to support the USA
2. Durable
3. Able to shoot a 64" LB out of it
I'm seriously considering a HH blind. What to you guys think?

My only blind is a Double Bull also prior to Primos. I've shot a 64" Blacktail Elite & a 66" Howard Hill LB out of it.
If you are in an area where you can leave your blind up all season & not worry about it's walking away I'm kind of envious.
Let us know what you decide on.

I would be inclined to make one if I got to leave it up all season. Wire fencing, coroplast, heavy duty cable ties, brush the heck out of it.

You should really take a look at Luckys hunting blinds. I have two and they are the best I 've ever used.

Brush blind. It will require periodic maintenance but is a lot cheaper. Besides, nobody can steal it.

Have to go with home made blind. Some wire fencing and camo netting, then brush it as the season dictates. Much harder to have it walk away.

I have great luck using some home made round hay bale look-alike blinds.
Plywood, tarpaper for a black interior, coated tough nylon type outer covering so it's waterproof.
Not very portable, about 6' x 6'.
Wouldn't work on public land, but great if you have your own or long term permission.

Personally I prefer natural ground blinds (just enough to break up my outline and some back cover). One of the reasons I love hunting is just being out in the environment? Can't imagine all the things you would miss sitting in a pop up blind?

Thanks guys I think I'm gonna make my current blind work for turkey season and build a homemade one for next deer season.
