Limb Blts

Was wondering why when I get close to full draw on my take down recurve do I hear like a creeping noise? If I tighten bolts snug, and back it off about an 1/8 or so the noise goes away. How tight should limb bolts be?

This doesn't answer your question, but when I picked up my new 3-piece, the bowyer said if I heard any squeaks when drawing, to put a layer of plastic food wrap under the limbs. If I didn't hear any noise, then not to worry about it. You might try that.

Better than that, would probably be to contact the bowyer and ask the expert.

The limb bolts should be snug- put some wax on the pins and check for noise.
