Gound Blind Question
«

Sitting in my blind for the last two days got
me thinking about the design of DB blinds and shooting Turkey.. Which style do you prefer, the old blinds with the round shooting ports only or the new with both types of windows?

I like the new type with the 180 degree window. It sure is easier to see out around your setup! Btw, I shoot through the netting in all my ground blinds!
I own a DB for day hunting but only use permanent homemade ground blinds on my leased ground!

I only have one, it's a Double Bull before Primos. It's got webbing all around & pretty well hids you. It takes a bow cut to or past center to be able to shoot through the screens without a lot of deflection. I've tried with my Howard Hill & I get a lot of deflection.

I have owned both types of DB's and other various brands and I think the DB Matrix recurve model is the best blind out there. Mine is on of the original ones before Primos, but can't say if that is good or bad, as I haven't messed with the newer ones. After getting my matrix, I sold or gave away all my others and quit looking for ground blinds.

I hunt with one of the founders of the original DB blinds.
What shoot through screen?
Is that part of the blind?
LOL
Use the Matrix.
Sit near the back.
Don't move.
Wear black.
Works for us.
Do what you like.
