I have in Quebec. To transport it I have to carry it back across the swamp, unstring it and put it a tube on my four wheeler and ride back to the lodge only to have reverse the process in morning. It's alot easier to climb up and be ready to go. One morning we had a heavy frost then snow so my feathers were a little rough when I got to it.

I had my ladder blind stolen on private land.
Leave my bow out overnight? Not even in my worst nightmare!

I've thought about it but never done it. I'm afraid a squirrel will chew the bow string.

I don't. If I wake up and the wind has changed I change locations.

I did once. Moose hunting in Newfoundland. The guide said to just hang it there, we'll be back in morning. He said anyone that found it, would mark the tree with flagging tape. I also left my rifle at the quad, with key in quad, on a regularly used trail a couple times (yes, I brought both).
I would NEVER do any of the above in CT. Everything would be gone in a heartbeat.

I do not leave my tree stand hanging in the tree overnight... no joke lost to much stuff to greedy hands. Maybe its different in other areas but the thought of giving any of my hard earned gear away makes me cringe!

A friend I hunt with leaves his bow hanging over night but there is no way I could do it. I don't even like leaving it at home when I go out of town.

My bows are way too expensive and personal to leave out. Wouldn't think of it. Why would you?
