You must look at the Kanati line.  John makes a terrific product with uncanny thought and attention to detail.  The quick attach feature is rock solid.  I've used it on my Black Widow PMAII , PCHX, Fedora Stalker, Allegheny Mt. Bow all with NO issues.  Stays were I put it until I take it off...and super quiet.

I've tried all those mentioned. I still think the best is a Thunderhorn small fry lynx. I just got an EFA with kick back and totem and I like it well enough but it feels/looks cheap for what it cost. I'm a little nervous about there not being something solid on the underside of the leather to keep broad heads in but we'll see how it works.

I still haven't found the perfect quiver.   If I could have EFA's attachment straps with a Thunderhorn lynx bar and bottom half with a zipper wood top I'd be pretty happy!   :)

The EFA does have a hard layer of epoxy in the top of the hood. This prevents the points from cutting the hood and holds in the attachment for the totem. It's well made and well thought out. It's the lightest and quietest I've owned.

Thunderhorn Boa (strap-on) and Boa Small Fry (strap-on)are the only one I have used, love them.

I think it (strap-on or bolt-on) really depends on your style of hunting and if you have multiple bows for diff. occasions.  I have two bows and one quiver at present so I like strap-on for ease of switching and taking the quiver off when in stand, only target shooting, in transport. I do find myself just leaving it on more and more now.

I agree with Paul.  Selway bolt on is the most solid. Even though the GN bolts on, it's still only a wire, not a flat piece of steel or aluminum that holds the two quiver pieces.  Thus, there is some movement there.  Lots of folks don't mind that though.

Both are quiet.  Selway is a bit larger.  The hoods themselves can vary in size.  I try to buy the smaller ones, and sometimes trim off 1/4-3/8 of an inch around the base of the hood.  I also use a four arrow gripper.  Pretty compact when I'm done.  Certainly doesn't look too big on a three-piece bow.

Zipper all wood bolt-on quiver. Get one to match the wood that your bow is made of. Lighter weight than the others and very stable.

I'm not just worried about sticking a broad head through the top of an EFA. I'm worried if I take a spill in the backcountry with it and fall on it, are the broad heads going to come through the side

There's some nice ones out there, but I still prefer my Bear spring arm quivers.

Biathlonman, We have never had anyone to report a problem with falling onto their bow quiver causing an injury. I would suppose that there is some sort of risk any way that you carry sharp broadheads. We do guarantee our products. If you would like to return the quiver, that would be fine.

For a longbow, I like the Great Northern strap on. For a recurve, I prefer a kwickee quiver if it is drilled for one. I like the looks of the selway with the screw on knob for easy removal but have not actually tried one yet.

I'm in the minority here, but I took a Black Widow 7/5 bolt on quiver and made a strap-on system for it.  I've been using it this way for about 3 years and it works well on my longbow, as well as anything I could buy.  A little heavier than others probably, but I like the added weight.  I took it on a 14-day wilderness float hunt last September in Alaska and it performed beautifully.  If I ever replace it, it will be with a Kanati angle strap-on.
Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.
