2014 Bear Takedown?
«

I'm sure a few members have tried/purchased the latest two-tone Bear Takedown by now. To those that have, is the grip narrow or a bit more hefty. I prefer the type 1 grip on the original takedowns, and am hoping the new model is somewhat like those were. I like a little palm swell in a grip.
Thanks in advance for your input.

The bow in it of itself is fantastic, the grips from what I have heard very from the two tone vs the black maple. I have heard the two tone is thinner. I have a black maple and it's grip has some palm swell and is easy to shoot consistent. It has become my favorite as of late.

I have a two tone and the grip is the heftiest of all my bows.

Mine (two tone) is fairly narrow--not much palm swell. I really like this one I have.

My 2014 two tone is heftier than any of my buddies models from the recent past.

I just heard back from Bear Archery. They feel the grip is bit heavier than past models, somewhat like the grip on their Super Kodiak.

I have a two-tone and the grip is heftier. I did not care for it, so I bought a used Bubinga. I may have the two-tone up for sale soon.
