A feather story
« on: May 19, 2014, 11:47:00 PM »
About two weeks ago I ordered some shafts from Shurewood and some feathers from Kustom King. The shafts got here in a couple of days. The feathers Was on their way ,Had a tracking number ect. In a couple of days they was half way across the country .Then they was on their way back east.?  Went all the way back to Pn. Sat there for two days and they was on their way back out here . Two days later they was in Arizona. The next morning I checked on them And they was in modesto But being sent back to sender for incomplete address. ?  Called up the post office and Told them What they was and I and I wanted to make up some arrows for a shoot over the weeked and If I  can come down and get them. They said that the truck was on its way back to where it came from. Called Kustom King and told them the story. Talked to a real nice lady and she looked up my order. Seems like the Dummy that ordered them put his last name down as his street and his street as his last name. All my fault.  Two hours later there's a knock at the door Guy looked like a FBI agent. Open the door and they guy says I'm looking for a mister Tim Aseltine   ,I go that's me. He smiles and says here's your feathers and good luck at your shoot. The guy was one of the managers down there. He said the truck had some trouble and was running late.  Some one some place likes me.
Here what I did with a couple of the safts and a few feathers.

Made them for my self bow Nayteri 60 @ 28" chunk of hickory.

By the way Nayteri  Got me a first place in my class at the shoot. Ok there was only two self bows there. But I got a good score for me.  Finnish with this book now.

Buy the way Shurewood shafts are great. Both Shurewood and KutomKing are great to deal with. And have great stuff.
