Carp Huntin'
« on: May 21, 2014, 10:52:00 PM »
Have had the opportunity to get out a couple of times, first was too early in April, the next one was last weekend. Went up to American Falls, Idaho, a group of duck hunters have formed a bowfishing club and are having tournaments, this turned out to be a hoot!  Over the course of the weekend these guys took over 36,000 pounds (yes that is thousand) of carp out of American Falls resivour.
Below is a few I shot, not only were there lots of shots, but these are the biggest carp I have gotten, and had a chance at!

Thanks,
Tim

I guess if we run into the bear that is making these tracks, we oughta just get off the trail.......He seems to like it!

Where did you get the single arrow quiver? It looks like it would do the trick.

Good Question for which I know there is a  great answer!!!!    :D      ;)  Tim can get you all set up!

Looks like a  great way to spend the day.  Your Carp almost look like they have skin and no scales.
Relax,

Charlie, the carp are grass carp, not a lot of the big scales, but every bit as tough as a scaled fish.
The "quiver", this is the "Fish Lipps" bowfishing quiver, it is a product that I developed from scratch, and am now selling.

Bowfishing is a great way to get people, both young and old interested in, and involved in bowhunting.  It is also a great way to show that all the gadgets offered by industry aren't needed to have fun and be successful.

The Fish Lipps quiver serves as a practical, economic, and safe way to transport your fish arrow when not in use, it also protects it from being abused in the bottom of a boat.

If interested, please send me a PM and I would be happy to get one headed your way!
Thanks,
Tim

Hey, Tim-

What bow is that?  Sure is pretty, and too nice to be huntin' carp with!

We're having our Canyon Ferry Carp Safari outside of Helena June 7th, should you wish to make the trek to MT for carp.  See more about it at  www.mtba.org

Best,

Joelle

With a busy summer in the making, it is uncertain how many chances I'll have to get out, so might as well record them all on the same post.
Saturday, had some time, so I asked the neighbor kid if he wanted to go, dumb question. Since it was afternoon, we headed to a close place, the Willard Spur.
Unfortunately the carp were where we weren't, but Cal had a great time and got to do some water stumpin'!

Some of the nature...

Thanks,
Tim
