Who's tried RHINO material??

How does it work for "skinny" strings? How does it compare to D10? Thanks.   BILL

I love it.  It has fast become my favorite string material since trying it on my first Centaur.  I now order all my strings from LRU with it.  It has a slightly softer feel and appearance than D10 but is just as tough.  It also has excellent resistance to wear/ rubbing.  To me there isn't anything not to like about it.  It has next to zero creep or shift and I rarely have to adjust my brace height once it has initially been set.   I believe it was originally developed for crossbows but don't quote me on that.

I've used it on my target compounds and it's a very durable material and the colors are really nice too.

I know I had it on a Bigfoot recurve and it preformed perfect as Kirk said it would. Quiet as a longbow in my opinion.

Very well said and thanks Chuck.  Before Allen and I went to market; he had me sample a few of our Rhino skinny strings.

What I found and what our clients have told us is that this material performs flawlessly.  It is extremely durable and quiet, and has little if any creep... so that you can SET IT AND FORGET IT!

Out of curiosity I tried some Rhino material recently and found it to make excellent strings with all the qualities as stated by ninesworld9 and buckster. I've gone ahead and ordered more and will be thinning out my D97 and Astro Flight. I like the Rhino better. Never tried D10 so I can't compare there.

I have 2 strings made out of Rhino and I've found it to be as stated above. String did not creep at all, its quiet and durable.

What is Rhino?  What is it made from?  I've tried to find out, no luck so far.

LBR yes we can all agree BCY states what their material is made from.  As for this Rhino stuff, it works so as a shooter I can't look much past that.  Anyway, I don't shoot Rhino strings because LRU uses the material, I shoot them because Allen makes the strings and provides the service.  Just sticking with a good thing and got lucky that the material works.

I've been shooting it for almost a year now. It is very stable, and has a softer feel than D10 like Chuck said.

I started out trying it as an 8 strand "skinny" string. It had a little more creep than I liked. I have since tried several strand combinations, and found 12 strands with the loops padded to 16 makes a fantastic string.

According to Brownell Archery it is 100% HMPE.

Thanks Danny.  That narrows it down some.  HMPE can come from different manufacturers and in different grades...leaves a lot open.  That's just me though--I'm a string nerd.

I shoot the rhino strings. I think they are the best on the market. No stretch or creep.

Best string material i've ever used. soft feel, very quiet low tone pitch to the bare string, and a 12 strand flemish tests out just as fast as an 8 strand D97 or D10.... I'm putting it on most all my new bows now.  Great stuff

I have to agree that 12 strands (I pad to 18 in the loops) of Rhino makes a great string. With Rhino I can't see where going down in strand count to make a "skinny string" for performance would make a worthwhile difference. The only reason I could see going to "Skinny" would be to save material.
