Carp Hunting Success in Manitoba
«

Well after spending 5 days at the Stickflinger Bear Camp I had the urge to do some shooting myself. The Carp spawn usually starts about this time of year up in Manitoba but with the cool spring and cool waters I wasn't sure if it would be on yet. With the lawn mowed and the reno projects under control I took a drive to the spot where we normally see carp. I drove up and saw them swimming and the hunt was on. I haven't been able to go for the last few years so I was very glad to have a chance to shoot some fish. What a fun way to spend an afternoon.
I ended up with 7 fish on the ground and too many misses to count. I hope to get out next weekend as well, hopefully they are still there.

Thanks everyone, I wish the carp run lasted all summer but it's usually over pretty quick. I always hope it lands on a weekend when I can go.

Nice shooting! Old school bowfishing! I love the Ams reels of today, but still enjoy what I started with, Bear wrap around and Bear grizzly recurve!
