Out for a walk in the woods
« on: June 12, 2014, 12:24:00 PM »
Headed out for a walk in the woods this evening and do a little deer scouting. Haven't been out in almost a year with remodeling the house in Cali and packing and moving out here to gods country (Arkansas). Cant wait to get my pack on my back and my boots on. To bad i don't have my hunting license yet i would take my bow and try for some squirrels.

Hi Rick. Nice to see a post from you. Take some pictures when you get some time in the woods back there...

You just trying to rub it in? haha

Walk slow and breathe deep.

I sometimes have to remind myself if its been a week or so since I canoed or walked to do just that. I make myself standout side my car and just wait. Let the "hurry up" drain out of my system, makes for a fulfilled day. Hope you enjoy it!

I stopped one of my spots today and it was loaded with deer tracks. Can't wait for September! Headed out tomorrow to knock on doors and get permission slips filled.

here I walked on a logging road and then felt two coming up the leg and found one locked in the arm pit that night, can't imagine going thru the foilage.

A few places in New Jersey I have been camping this year had tons. I could see them crawling on the ground around me.
Hoping to avoid any this weekend at my next camp spot.

Tajue17: i got bit last week in the back yard shooting some arrows into the bag. I sprayed down my clothes with Permanone before i went out on my walk today and it seemed to work.
