St Jude apple pie
«

I was the successful bidder on an apple pie donated by Pete McMiller. Pete delivered it to me at the Compton Rendezvous today.
This thing was huge as you can see. And boy was it delicious. I was going to have "just a taste". One thing led to another...
I can't believe I ate the whole thing!

The only thing that drew my eyes away from that giant pie plate and that big ol gut was those pasty white legs. Man that looks like a good pie. Maybe next year

Man I hope you didn't share it.... I wouldn't have :p
I really wanted to get that pie. But I knew there was no chance of actually getting it here to colorado. I'm a huge apple pie fan. And when someone claims that theirs is "the best" I just gotta have it. Weren't there supposed to be muffins to go along with that too? What happened to those!?

I didn't bid high enough to get the muffins. We walked around all the camps and shared it with whoever wanted some. Couldn't eat that much pie in one weekend and it made a bunch of people happy.

Now that is what I call a pie. Wanted to bid on that baby but had no way to pick it up. Actually thought about having it delivered to Teresa and Fred Asbell at Compton as a gift for all they do in support of traditional archery. Bought "A couple of good reads"offered by Bob Corbett instead. Thanks for your participation in the St. Jude auction.

Glad you liked it Glenn, thanks for your donation to St. Judes.
For all you guys who didn't bid, I travel a good bit and in fact will be in Colorado come Sept. and likely a bunch of other states this year.
Nice thought on eating it all yourself Matty but there is NO WAY one person could eat all that pie - well 'maybe' in one weekend you might be able to IF you're a big eater.
