I ordered some white 1/4" nocks from The Nocking Point in preparation for the St Jude auction. Terry sent me the nocks toot sweet and in about three or four days I got one single nock in an envelope with a note. Terry said he found it on the floor after sending my others and didn't want me to be shorted on my order of 100. The single nock beat the other 99. After a few more days I wrote Terry and he promptly replied. The other 99 never showed up. He did some calling and other things and told me he'd take care of it. He refused any more payment offered. Soon I had another order of 100 nocks at my door. Now Terry had to reach out to another supplier. He reached out to a competitor in the trad archery business world and the other competitor shipped them straight to me. Terry still refused payment.
Fast forward to today. I'm standing at the kitchen counter eating a PB&J and I see the mail carrier rolling down the driveway. My wife was expecting a package delivered so I went out, met the carrier, and brought the package and a small padded envelope in. The envelope was addressed to me. ???? I thought. I see it's from The Nocking Point. I looked more closely at the date it was shipped and there was the answer. The nocks sent by Terry had been eaten by the USPS and must've resurfaced. They arrived safely, albeit two months late. But all 99 made it.
Thanks Terry.
I owe you Sir!
I also owe the USPS
It's all good though
