Hemlock WOW
« on: June 30, 2014, 04:10:00 PM »
I just picked up a bundle of 50 shafts from Steve at Surewood and all I can say is WOW! Quality is as good as their fir, color & grain looks the same but a little lighter weight. I got 60-65lb and they weighed between 375-415grs. I only had a 40gr spread in the batch, with most in a 20gr spread. Can't wait to get to finishing some of these.

I would like to try some of those. I like trying different wood types.

Ditto - I have 3 dozen mountain hemlock arrows that I built from tapered shafts by Surewood.  They are sweeeeeeet!

I had a similar batch of 50 from Steve. They were very close in weight and straightness. The guys at surewood do an amazing job.
