1st kill with my new Heartland bow
« on: July 13, 2014, 08:24:00 AM »
I was shooting my archery course around my pond when this guy ran out in front of me. He stopped about 15yrds away. I aimed for his head thinking it would be a kill or a clean miss.
If you ever get a chance to shoot a Heartland bow you won't be disappointed.

Congrats, Cory built me a 3 piece longbow last summer. I got my first kill with it last fall.

Greg,
Nice shootin we're starting to get a few of them around here but haven't had the opportunity to stick one yet. They sure can make a mess of a archery course in no time at all.

Oh by the way the Heartland bow is one of the bows I won in the Compton dream raffle. More about that latter.

Great shoot'in.  We don't have those critters in SE Texas.  Guessing it's a groundhog??

Yep, its a groundhog. Its a young one. They can do a lot of damage. This makes my 6th one this year all with in an acre near my pond. This was the only one I took with a bow. I haven't been taking them for sport, I just want rid of them.
